It sounded like a car was hit and then a dragging sound. We ran down the street and sure enough, a car that had been hit was on the side of the road. The dragging sound had been the speeding car running from the scene. Two blocks down the road though, that car hit a truck, innocently driving down the road. The passenger of that truck was killed on scene.<br /><br />We are responsible for our actions. Because that person decided to have some drinks, speed and try to run from responsibility, a life was taken. A life that did not deserve to end because of someone else's decision.<br /><br />If you've even just had a drink or two-DON"T DRIVE! Call a cab, call a friend, call me-I'll come pick you up or reimburse you for the cab if I'm not around. A tradition at their house is "the bucket", filled with all kinds of liquor and who knows what else. This year it was displayed in a trophy chalice of some sort with glowing ice cubes, but still contained the drink of champions. The wedding was Sunday afternoon and so much fun! The only problem was the crazy weather. The ceremony and reception were on Isle of Palms at The Citadel Beach House. The ceremony was supposed to be outside, but someone definitely had other plans for us. It seemed like a tropical storm was raging through that beach. The parking lot was flooded and we had to go four wheeling to park our car. The only time it stopped raining was when Laura had to walk from her car to the building. Needless to say, they moved the wedding inside and the rest of the night went off without a hitch. Laura was a great sport and looked absolutely amazing!
