Bad Choices

When it comes to actions, everyone has a choice.

Last night, while Scott and I were enjoying a glass of wine with some friends, we heard a crash on Market Street in Wilmington. It sounded like a car was hit and then a dragging sound. We ran down the street and sure enough, a car that had been hit was on the side of the road. The dragging sound had been the speeding car running from the scene. Two blocks down the road though, that car hit a truck, innocently driving down the road. The passenger of that truck was killed on scene.

We are responsible for our actions. Because that person decided to have some drinks, speed and try to run from responsibility, a life was taken. A life that did not deserve to end because of someone else's decision.

If you've even just had a drink or two-DON"T DRIVE! Call a cab, call a friend, call me-I'll come pick you up or reimburse you for the cab if I'm not around. It's just not worth it.

Big Weekend

Today we're heading down to Myrtle Beach for Scott's big weekend. He is running his first Full Marathon tomorrow. Unfortunately it's supposed to rain! Wish him luck!

Christmas in the Mountains

This past Christmas we spent some time with Scott's parents in the Mountains. Scott's Dad loves photography so we had some beautiful photos.
Enjoying a perfect North Carolina sunset.

Ridiculousness

Friday night we went to out friends Darryl and Elizabeth's house for Darryl's birthday. A tradition at their house is "the bucket", filled with all kinds of liquor and who knows what else. This year it was displayed in a trophy chalice of some sort with glowing ice cubes, but still contained the drink of champions. I think this picture sums up our night!

New Obsession

It has taken me a while to admit this, but I am obsessed with the Twilight books. I'm still on the first one, but will probably have all four read by the end of the week! Even though they are teen dramas, they are so good! You have to check them out! I might go to the movie by myself. I know, it's sad.
