Bad Choices

When it comes to actions, everyone has a choice.

Last night, while Scott and I were enjoying a glass of wine with some friends, we heard a crash on Market Street in Wilmington. It sounded like a car was hit and then a dragging sound. We ran down the street and sure enough, a car that had been hit was on the side of the road. The dragging sound had been the speeding car running from the scene. Two blocks down the road though, that car hit a truck, innocently driving down the road. The passenger of that truck was killed on scene.

We are responsible for our actions. Because that person decided to have some drinks, speed and try to run from responsibility, a life was taken. A life that did not deserve to end because of someone else's decision.

If you've even just had a drink or two-DON"T DRIVE! Call a cab, call a friend, call me-I'll come pick you up or reimburse you for the cab if I'm not around. It's just not worth it.
